Heineken identified a crucial need for a larger and more equipped onsite healthcare facility to serve their employees and their families at the BRANA brewery and bottler near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The existing trailer clinic was insufficient in space and resources to provide adequate medical care. In response, Heineken turned to Clinic In A Can for an innovative and cost-effective solution. Clinic In A Can designed and built a 9 Unit Community Health Center (CHC) directly in the brewery’s parking lot. This comprehensive medical facility included nine containerized clinics, fully enclosed to ensure protection from the elements and enhanced security. Additionally, the facility featured a waiting area/lobby with ceiling fans to maintain a comfortable environment for patients awaiting treatment inside the air-conditioned containers. Clinic In A Can’s innovative and efficient approach transformed the healthcare experience for Heineken employees and their families. By establishing a well-equipped and secure medical facility, Heineken ensured that their workforce received high-quality medical care, significantly enhancing their well-being. The Clinic In A Can team traveled to Haiti to carry out the setup and ensure that the community health center met all operational needs. CIAC was able to deliver an economical and effective healthcare infrastructure, fostering a healthier and more productive community at Heineken’s BRANA brewery.
